A ‘PUZZLE WALK”THROUGH THE FOREST
At Farm Backsjön you will find the most northern tulip fields in the world. Half a million bulbs are planted each year here. The major event of the year is the tulip festival May 26 – June 16. Thousands of visitors arrive to admire 70000 tulips in bloom.
But Farm Backsjön is a year-round destination for family excursions with different activities for the whole family: a “puzzle walk” through the forest – you will find your way by answering tricky questions and by solving fun tasks. One or a couple of the farm donkeys will carry your lunch baskets and/or your kids. Pan for gold in a brook. Beaver safari or a fishing tour. Let your kids help us take care of the animals – sledge dogs, donkeys, chickens and hens. And as a security measure, our guides will make sure you won’t get lost in our deep forests.
Farm Backsjön is situated 25 km from Sollefteå and 30 km from Näsåker. You can take your car right up to the farm where parking is free. There are two cabins, each with four beds in two bedrooms . The café is open Saturdays and Sundays summer and winter. The guides, Carolina and Hasse, speak Swedish, English, German and Dutch.
